How it works

From your profile to a stronger one in four steps

  1. Bring in your profile

Upload LinkedIn’s data export or your profile’s “Save to PDF” file, start from your Terview resume, or paste sections. Only what you give us — Terview never visits LinkedIn pages.

The import step: LinkedIn data export (.zip) selected with how to request it, plus profile PDF, Terview profile or resume, and paste sections.
  2. Say what you’re aiming for

Add up to three target roles and the keywords to emphasize — pull them from a saved job description, or have them suggested for your role.

Goals and target role: Senior Data Analyst as the target, with keywords such as SQL, Python, Tableau and forecasting.
  3. Review every suggestion

Optimize all writes your headline, About and recent roles in one run, or ask for one section at a time. Every change is highlighted — accept, edit or reject it.

A suggested About section with additions highlighted and removals struck through, and a note to replace each [X] with a real number.
  4. Copy it into LinkedIn

A checklist walks through each changed section: copy it, paste it on LinkedIn, and tick it off. Your profile only changes when you change it.

The Apply to LinkedIn checklist: the new headline and About, each with Copy, Open LinkedIn and Updated on LinkedIn.

A score you can check

Profile strength comes from rules you can read — completeness, headline, About, experience, skills, keywords for your target role, photo and banner. AI never sets the points, so the same profile always scores the same.

  • A breakdown for every category
  • Top fixes, with the points each one adds
  • An estimate of how complete and focused you are — not how LinkedIn ranks anyone
The score panel for a sample profile: 49 out of 100, a bar for each category and the top fixes with the points they add.

See it the way LinkedIn shows it

A live preview shows your intro, About and experience as they’ll read on LinkedIn, including where “see more” cuts in. Switch between before, after and side by side, on desktop or mobile.

  • Before, after and compare views
  • Desktop and mobile widths
  • Changed sections marked
The preview in Compare view: the sample profile before and after two accepted suggestions, side by side, with the score at 67.

Skills that match the role

See which skills your target role asks for, spot ones that say the same thing twice, and pin the three that matter most.

  • Target skills tagged
  • Overlaps flagged, removed in one click
  • Sort by relevance and pin your top three
The skills editor: two overlaps flagged, target skills such as SQL, Python and Tableau tagged, and a prompt to pin the top three.

Keep it, export it, reuse it

Export your optimized profile as PDF, Word or Markdown, go back to an earlier version, sync your new headline and summary to your resume, or rehearse “Tell me about yourself” from your new About.

  • PDF, Word and Markdown export (Lite and up)
  • Version history to compare and restore (Lite and up)
  • Sync to your resume · practise your pitch in Mock Interview
The More menu: goals, import again, version history, practise my pitch, open my LinkedIn, and export as PDF, Word or Markdown.
Your account stays yours

Only what you give us

The optimizer works from files and text you hand it. It doesn’t touch your LinkedIn account.

  • No LinkedIn login

You never give Terview your LinkedIn password, and it never signs in, posts or edits anything for you.

  • No page reading

Terview doesn’t visit or read LinkedIn pages. Profiles come from LinkedIn’s own export, its PDF, your Terview resume or text you paste.

  • Files read, not kept

An uploaded export or PDF is read in memory and not stored. The profile draft it produces is saved to your account so you can come back to it.

Questions, answered

No. You bring your profile in yourself: LinkedIn’s data export (.zip), your profile’s “Save to PDF” file, your Terview profile or resume, or sections you paste. Terview never asks for your password, never signs in to LinkedIn and never reads LinkedIn pages.

Give your profile the same care as your resume.
